PATARA BEACH - 375₺

Captain Morgan Spice / Malibu / Homemade Raspberry Syrup / Citrus Blend / Pineapple Juice / Fresh Lime Juice

Patara Ancient City is located in today’s Gelemis Village, at the southwest end of the Xanthos Valley, between Fethiye and Kalkan, and is one of the most important and oldest cities of Lycia.  Patara, one of the starting points of ancient Anatolian history, has hosted many civilizations for thousands of years. Patara also served as the capital of the Lycian League for a while and became one of the most important grain ports of ancient times. The place where the port is located is a swamp today. In other words, it is a place where you can enjoy meeting the sea in a place where civilizations were born.

Patara Beach is a beach located near the ancient Lycian city of Patara in Turkey, on the coast of the Turkish Riviera in the tourism paradise Kas, near Kalkan. You can easily reach Patara by public transport or by your own vehicle via Antalya. If you are going to use public transportation from Muğla, you can come to Patara Junction by tour buses departing from Fethiye every hour. The distance between the beach and this intersection is about 3 km. You must cover this distance on foot.  The beach is administratively connected to the province of Antalya. (Google Map location) The beach can be reached via Gelemis Mahallesi. Along the way, you come across an incredible history. From the ruins of the basilica to the parliament building and the ancient theater, you are officially on a history tour. We are lucky that the huge sands covering the beach have kept these artifacts for years and protected them against humans and nature.

It is also suitable for windsurfing due to its almost non-stop wind. Patara beach is under protection as it is among the places where Caretta caretta’s lay eggs.

Indiana Jones: “It Belongs In A Museum!”

The characteristic structure of a society, which is formed by the influence of the values it has over time, is the only factor that creates the culture of that society. In this direction, there are many values that reflect the culture of a society. While history is one of the values that reflect the culture of a society, historical artifacts can be seen as a concrete part of this history.

Historical artifacts are our values in which our culture can be observed today. In order for a society to avoid assimilation and preserve its culture and history, the preservation of historical buildings and artifacts should be considered. In this direction, the preservation of historical buildings and artifacts is ensured by restoration, construction, repair and reinforcement.

I wish we all had Indy’s sense of standing up for the educational value of artifacts so that they could remain with their culture.

Once there was pirate who was lost. He swam over seas and found himself in Kalkan.

And unlike every other  story he has fallen in love with a cocktail from B&G . Scientists couldn’t explain. Astrologers didn’t see it coming. Weathermen said it is not caused by the wonderful weather of Kalkan.  But the bartenders got it and weren’t suprised at all. So be careful about this cocktail and don’t tell your partner about the story 😀

“Sometimes science is more art than science.” — Rick

Chemistry, physics, biology and so many science fields are used by us bartenders. And as you see in the menu even literature… This cocktail was inspired by our bartender’s admiration for science… Especially this year as they have opened their new lab to give you a taste of art mixed with science . Enjoy it.
