Welcome to the 2023 season at Black & Gold Cocktail Bar.
We have been busy over the winter creating a fresh new summery look for the bar including a sunshade roof so you can enjoy time in the bar before the sun actually goes down. At the end of the summer season we will be developing it further as a cosy winter venue.

There are some tasty new treats lined up for you. As always we create new and unique cocktail experiences using fresh local produce. Seasonal fruits and herbs have been turned into homemade syrups and we will be bringing you what we call “healthy cocktails” perhaps counting as one of your 5 a day! 

Continuing the healthy theme – we have developed a homemade non-alcoholic gin for those who want the gin taste without the alcohol. The gin is called Kalkan and is available to buy as a gift or souvenir of your time in Kalkan. Cheers!

We are proud to announce that we now have our own cocktail laboratory as an extra special addition for the development of our cocktails. This will enable us to study and experiment with new molecular techniques in mixology to take our cocktails to a higher level still. All our special Black & Gold cocktails are still on the menu. Look for the * to see those unique to us.

With the tragic earthquakes in SE Turkey on 6thFebruary very much in mind we wish to support that part of Turkey and specifically some families who are struggling to rebuild their lives. So on a serious note, we have developed what we call “Gift Cocktails” and from the sale of these we will donate 10% of the profits to a support fund. These cocktails are named after each of the 11 cities / provinces affected by the two massive earthquakes and so many aftershocks. On our menu you will see cocktails named Adiyaman, Malatya, Kahramanmaraş, Adana, Gaziantep, Hatay / Iskenderun, Kilis, Diyarbakir, Osmaniye and Şanlıurfa.
These cocktails use ingredients from those provinces to support them through business to rebuild with pride and dignity. The recipes for them and the concept are unique to Black & Gold.

The afternoon Mixology Masterclasses will be available if you would like to try your hand at cocktail making before sitting back with pride to enjoy them.

Our regular event nights will continue – brilliant live acoustic rock music with Aklan Akdağ on Tuesdays, and during the week 80s/90s DJ nights and Motown / Soul DJ nights plus an occasional live soul singer performance – follow our social media pages for up-to-date information. There are plans afoot to launch some other theme nights during the season – watch this space!
